Due to there being four members in the group we each decided to chose one of the 4 panels that we drew up and try to replicate that in photoshop. I chose the inside panel to replicate and within 45 minutes came up with this. It is still a rough draft as the group and myself aren't entirely sure if this type of art is allowed and if it has to be actually pictures instead for our digipak. The programme that i used for this was photoshop with it only being the second time of me using it. Fortunately we had a photoshop expert within the group who helped me out when i was stuck and gave me tips on how to improve, but all in all the process in making this was fairly smooth and quick, and has given a new set of skills. From the beginning we wanted to represent the band as fun and up beat but not to over do it and make them become a pop boy band. This idea would have to translates through everything we do from the music video to the smaller things such as the digipak. Colour is probably the biggest way that you can differentiate genres with the extremes being gothic where everything is black, to pop where everything is vibrant and in your face. Because the genre of our band the is a hybrid between rock and pop we thought it would be most appropriate to use bright colours that aren't vibrant enough to give off that pure pop effect, and came to the conclusion red and blue work well together.
