Analysis of a Digipak
I have chosen to analyse American pop artists, Rihanna's digipak to her album 'Talk That Talk' as i believe it displays all of the typical conventions that are associated with a good professional digipak. As i said in a previous post, there are typical conventions that you find with a digipak. They included, 4-8 panels, lots of images and being printed on card, and all three of those conventions are displayed within this digipak. Images are the most vital part for making a good digipak, and with this one we can really see how effective the use of images can be. The use of four black and white images of Rihanna looking seductive in the way she poses provide good aesthetics and will in turn attract the target audience to make them consume the product. Both the colours and the typography on this digipak are the same throughout each four covers and CD, again making aesthetically pleasing to appeal to the target audience.
