Locations and props

Narrative

Scene 1- The location of the first scene will be the inside of a bedroom with the narrative being of the main character waking up with a hangover. To illustrate to the audience that the character has a hangover empty beer bottles will be scattered around the characters room, mainly around his alarm clock.

Scene 2- The location of the second scene will be the outside of a house. At this point the a bird has pooed on the main character therefore props such as white suncream or yogurt will be needed to give this effect

Scene 3- The location of the third scene will be outside of someones house, preferably set in a suburban housing estate. The narrative has now got to the point where the main character has helped a bunch of thieves without knowing. For this scene the props needed will be empty boxes for the stolen goods, and balaclavas that the thieves put over their faces at towards the end of the scene

Scene 4- The location for the next scene will be on a promenade in the town centre. Because we live on the coast many people travel down here to commute to work of school and this is the kind of place we need for the narrative. At this point the main character has been approached by a man in a beer bottle costume handing at drink awareness leaflets. The props needed will be a beer bottle costume and some handmade drink awareness leaflets.

Scene 5- The location of scene 5 will be a mysterious building that seems to be abandoned. The narrative is at the point where the main character is now running away trying to find somewhere to hide only to stumble into a cult ritual that is taking place. This will be the hardest scene to film without a shadow of a doubt due to amount of care that needs to be taken with the mise-en-scene. The props that will be needed to pull this scene off and make it look effective will be robes for the actors, candles and a big cult symbol to be place in the middle.

Performance

The performance of our music video will all be set in one location comes in frame after each scene that i have described above. The location where the performance will take place will be in one of the studios that are available to us in our college. We want to make sure that the location looks like a place where a band will rehearse and in order to do this we will need many props. Instruments are obviously the most vital thing we need but other props such as amps and lights. At the start of the video we want to make sure that the performance is linked in with the narrative and to let the audience know that the main character is actually late for the bands rehearsal. To do so we will need phones to appear in the video so the band can act as if they're calling the main character, and also one band member will need to a watch to look at it to signal he's late.
